WHO ARE WE?
Ndhiwa Community Empowerment and Development Project was set up as a grassroots self-help group back in 2004, registered by the social development department with the government and ran by local community members. NCEDP was registered as an NGO on the 23rd May 2013.​
From 2019, NCEDP became Twende Pamoja. Twende Pamoja has developed into a strong and expanding independent Kenyan NGO, and works in collaboration with partner organisation, Team Kenya. ​
Twende Pamoja is a Kenya-based female focused charity, in place to help educate and empower girls and women in Homa Bay County in Kenya. TwendePamoja is working towards facilitating the recognition and empowerment of community members, with specific focus on girls and women, through various development initiatives.

Meet The Team

Risper Adhanja
Risper is a seasoned development profesional with over 15 years experience in managing diverse community programs in Ndhiwa, Homabay County.
She worked as a teacher for 16 years before joining Twende Pamoja in the year.... which by then was NCEDP.
Risper is the Advocacy for Safe Community program Manager
She has been one of the key players that make sure Twende Pamoja achieves her goal and objectives, She loves to see gender equality and quality education forvulnerable communities.

Salome Gero
Salome is one of the longest serving staff at Twende Pamoja.
She is in charge of house keeping/accommodation and catering department.
she support in women table banking and skillful parenting

Winnie Atela
Winnie is dedicated librarian with 2yrs experience working at Twende Pamoja. She joined the
organization as a Project Leader for the library and Reading for Empowerment Project. She holds a
Diploma in records and Information Management from Kisii University. Winnie currently plays a lead
role in organizing various mixed-gender activities, such as brighter future and book club activities in the
16 partner schools and during the holiday’s breaks at the Learning Resource Center (LRC).

Olango Grace

Olango Grace, a vibrant young lady who likes to make things, break things, and regularly wrestles with 'The Innovators' Dilemma.'
Holding an Information Technology (IT) Degree from South Eastern Kenya University, Grace is deeply passionate about Technology and Creativity.
Grace leads the 'STEM for Girls Feminist Leadership and Advocacy' project at Twende Pamoja,
empowering girls to explore the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Anatalia Adhiambo
Anatalia is one of the beneficiary of Twende Pamoja, from Ndhiwa Community.
She graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, from Maseno University.
She is currently the Purchasing and Procurement, Girls Empowerment Project officer and also working closely with with finance team for purchases.

Vivian Kaiga
Vivian Kaiga Specialized in Agricultural Extension and Community Development.
She has been part of Twende Pamoja Team since 2019.
She has worked as volunteer in Child protection, monitoring Evaluation and learning.
She is currently working as a project leader on Women Economic Empowerment and food Security as an Extension officer.

Vincent
Vincent has been part of the TP since 2009. He joined as IT Tutor. In 2010 He was sponsored by Twende Pamoja in Computer Engineering Course at K.C.A University, emerging to be the pioneer of Aspire for scholarship program.
Because of his diverse experience in different fields he doubles a lot of responsibilities which includes; LRC management, Financial management, MEL coordinator & networking as well as UK/Kenyan schools partnership coordinator.

Jacob Ayoro

Jacob is a Diploma holder in ICT. He has been part of Twende Pamoja team since 2013 where he joined as as Assistant Youth Group Secretary. Jacob currently heading ICT department. His main areas of work are; electronics maintenance/repair , Women IT training, Girls STEM catch up trainings and social media platform updates and management.

Okuku Francisxavier
Francis is a Diploma holder in Agribusiness Management and Marketing. He works at Karibuni Social Enterprise innovation Hub as a project lead for demonstration farm, apiculture and School farms as Agribusiness officer and also supports women empowerment through Agricultural training.

Samuel Ouma
Samuel is a Diploma holder in Agricultural Education and Extension. He works in Twende Pamoja as Youth Group Coordinator and Project Officer under Environmental sustainability and Climate Action and also supports women Empowerment through Agricultural training.

Erick Otieno
Erick is the Karibuni Social enterprise innovation Hub & Finance Manager.
He is a long term Beneficiary of Twende Pamoja.
He Joined Twende Pamoja in the Year 2013 after Form 4 as a youth group member.
Erick later joined Bukura Agricultural training where he pursue Diploma in Agribusiness Management & marketing. He is currently working a round the clock to ensure that the Organizational resources and funds are managed well putting into consideration value for money.
