"I was able to get quality education and my prospects in life is improved!" Pamela Odiwuor

My name is Pamela Akoth Odiwuor from Rangenya, Ndhiwa Community and this is my story...

My first encounter with Twende Pamoja was in the year 2008 when I was in my Third Grade in Primary school.

Twende Pamoja came into my life, supported my education and gave me access to learning materials that I would not have had access to otherwise.

Twende Pamoja further sponsored me through my secondary education, which made my life easier. Without their help, I wouldn’t have been able to attend secondary school and my life would have been much harder. Thanks to their support, I was able to get quality education and improve my prospects in life.

After I completed my highschool, Twende Pamoja arranged for me to attend the Kisumu National Polytechnic, where I pursued a certificate in food and beverage service sales and production. The certificate has enhanced my knowledge in the food and beverage industry and helped me obtain the skills needed to be a successful sales and production manager. I recently graduated and looking forward, I am going to enroll in a food and beverage diploma program on my own dime.

Now if I look back and check on my peers, some are married and have four-three children, while others have given up on life. It is not that they do not want to get married or they are against having children, society has just put so much pressure on them that they have given up.

Thank you Twende Pamoja for inspiring, educating, and supporting me through the challenges I encountered with my education. I am forever grateful!
